Colorcodes acc. to DIN 47100

Single cores without color repetitions

  • The wires are counted consecutively in the same direction through all layers, starting in the outer layer. The first color is the base color
  • The second and third colors are applied in the form of abrasion-resistant color rings. In the case of two- and three-color wires, the characters of the color code are placed directly next to each other
  • In the case of cables with color repetition, the color code starts again with white (1) from the 45th core
  • In the case of paired cores, the two colors mentioned one after the other are always stranded. The color code is repeated from the 23rd and 45th pair
  • An exception is the 4-core cable, which is to be stranded in the colors white, yellow, brown, green
